This policy explains how Nuance (Henri-Pierre Corbett, sole trader) collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you use nuanced.cloud and related services.

We take your privacy seriously. This policy is written to be readable, not to confuse you.

The data controller is Henri-Pierre Corbett, sole trader operating under the commercial name "Nuance," registered at 12 Boulevard Desgranges, 92330 Sceaux, France.

3. Why we collect it

We never sell your data. We never use it for advertising.

4. Who we share data with

To run Nuance, some data is processed by carefully selected providers:

Hostinger
Server hosting (Paris, France datacenter). All data is stored on our dedicated server.
Anthropic (Claude)
AI-generated homework feedback, drills, and vocabulary cards. Your data is not used to train their models.
Gladia
Speech to text: turns your recorded spoken answers, and the live sessions you agree to record, into written transcripts so they can be marked and reviewed. Contact details, ID numbers and health information are masked in the transcript.
Digital Samba
Video rooms for live sessions (Barcelona, Spain, on European infrastructure). Digital Samba does not record your sessions.
OpenAI / OpenRouter
Processing of certain teaching content (analysis, rephrasing).
Google
Calendar (lesson scheduling), Gmail SMTP (notification emails), Sheets (student tracking).
Stripe
Secure payment processing. Your card details never pass through our servers.

If you feel your rights aren't being respected, you can file a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

7. Security

Your data is stored on a dedicated server located in Paris, France. Passwords are hashed (bcrypt). Payments are processed by Stripe, which is PCI-DSS certified. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.

This policy may evolve. Any significant change will be notified by email. The last-updated date appears at the top of this page.
